We invite you to participate in our first Single Parent & Healthy Family Conference

The event is being organized by the Family & Youth project team of the GNLI Class of 2012. GNLI was established in 1994 by the Gwinnett Coalition for Health and Human Services; it trains and empowers local citizens and community leaders to promote positive changes in their neighborhoods and communities.

SPARC was established in 2001, to empower and equip single parents with the necessary tools, resources and support to enable them to create a healthy home environment and nurture their children into a productive and successful adulthood.

Conference goals:

1. To strengthen parents and children by offering ways to save money and improve their finances.
   
2. To teach parents and children stress management skills and healthy eating habits; and encourage participation in physical activity.
   
3. To improve parent/child household communication in order to create a healthier family environment.
   
4. To reinforce workshop topics by encouraging use of the 21-Days to Success Progress Chart and attending post 21 Day Success celebration.

If you are a Single Parent with children 7 – 17 who will be attending the conference, we hope you will register and attend this special conference created "Just For You" NOTE: Childcare available for infants to age 5 if requested at registration.
