Baby Steps

Little things can make a big difference.

Did you know that having dinner together as a family can bring your family closer?

Did you know that family meetings can increase communication and decrease stress?

Did you know that something as small and insignificant as a goldfish bowl can help you resolve disciplinary issues?

These are all very small habits you can implement in your family that will make a big difference.

Sometimes the job of creating and maintaining family closeness can seem overwhelming to a single parent. As we race about with single minded determination focused on ensuring we meet the various needs of our children, we cannot forget that the most important need they have is the need for us – their parent.

They have a need for our time, our energy, our attention, our enthusiasm, our listening ear, our presence, our smiling face, our praise, our…our…our…the list seems to go on and on. Instead of being overwhelmed, we must find small ways - take baby steps towards implementing the habits that matter.

Stay tuned to discover little ways you can strengthen your family in a BIG way.
